More pictures of Alex

New Grandmother Teresa Newton (my wife) gets her first chance to hold Alex.
Alex doing what newborns do best--sleep!
Spiderman was one of the many visitors to see the new mom and baby. I think CW, Alex's Dad, had something to do with his visit. I understand they go way back.

Alexander Benjamin Carr made his grand debut a little ahead of schedule, sometime around 4 a.m. Central Time November 3, by emergency C-section. He came into the world at 6 pounds 10 ounces and 18 inches.

His mother, Amanda Newton Carr, went into labor but Alex’s heart rate dropped too much to allow labor to continue. Mom and son are both doing fine now; we expect they will go home today (Sunday).

My wife Teresa is there with the young family and will be staying for a period of time. Amanda is a senior at Baylor University, and she still has classes to complete. She plans to take the Spring semester off, then finish and graduate next Fall. Proud papa CW Carr is a full-time student in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Before the baby was born the couple was only together weekends and holidays. They are looking forward to being a family under one roof as soon as Amanda’s classes end.
